Status of Development of a Catalyst for Fixed-Bed Dehydrogenation of Lower Alkanes at JSC SKTB Katalizator

Currently, experts of the Department of Science at JSC SKTB Katalizator are extensively involved in the development of a catalyst for fixed-bed dehydrogenation of lower alkanes and associated thermostabilizing agent (TSA). It is fair to define this development process as successful one, since at the moment, at the intermediate stage, the process development group can boast the achievements in creating a new product.

As of today, high performance indicators of the future dehydrogenation catalyst and TSA have been achieved. Laboratory catalyst samples are highly competitive with the imported analogues in physico-chemical parameters and catalytic activity both in the fresh state and after accelerated aging.

All existing developments of JSC SKTB Katalizator relating to this field are covered by patents for a carrier and a catalyst for a fixed-bed dehydrogenation. The preparation of the patent application for the TSA is proceeding to completion.
