The students of Novosibirsk State Technical University visited new laboratories of Katalizator JSC
On the 13th of May, 2019 within the framework of the activity on the occasion of the City Science Day staff scientists of Katalizator JSC arranged an excursion for the 3rd year students of the Chair of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU).
During the excursion Director for Science of Katalizator JSC Arkadii Tarasevich presented the first results of the investment project “Implementation of the CET Technology Initiative: Catalysts, Engineering & Technologies”, i.e. new equipped according to the world standards laboratories for the company developers of new products, laboratories for the department of catalyst testing and the department of physical and physicochemical analysis.
The unique possibilities for scientific research and realization the company motto “from scientific idea to practical implementation” were shown to the students of NSTU. Future staff scientists of chemical enterprises had a chance to watch modern instruments and analytical equipment, work of professionals in chemical laboratories using such equipment as electronic scanning microscope, catalysts test sets (Clause process, dehydrogenation of light hydrocarbons, selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxide), gas-solid and mercury-intrusion porosimeters, laser particle analyzer, atomic emission spectrometer.
During the discussion with staff scientists the students of NSTU received answers to the matters of concern and offered to arrange such an excursion on a regular basis.
