Patent for a New R&D Product Obtained

On July 21, 2021, JSC SKTB Katalizator received Russian patent No. 2751942 for a new R&D product "Method of obtaining naphtha reforming catalyst" (authors: V. G. Stepanov, A. A. Gavrilova).

The invention relates to manufacturing naphtha reforming catalysts intended for production of high-octane gasoline fractions and/or aromatics from naphthenic feed. The invention can be utilized in refining and petrochemical industries.

The developed method for obtaining platinum-containing catalysts for naphtha reforming enables the highly selective catalysts to be produced without the use of hydrochloric acid to avoid increased corrosion of the process equipment.
