Hydrogentaion of sulfur compounds

Catalytic units provide testing the activity of sulfur dioxide hydrogenation catalysts (tail gas treatment (TGT) for the Claus process), expressed as a percentage of the SO2 conversion. Initial catalytic activity is tested in a flow reactor under isothermal conditions at atmospheric pressure.

Catalyst tests for the following processes are available:

- Catalytic activity testing for tail gas treatment in Claus process for sulfur dioxide hydrogenation to hydrogen sulfide.

- Measuring carbonyl sulfide (COS) conversion for Claus tail gas treatment under TGT process conditions.

The acquired data enable to determine the loading and optimal process conditions for catalyst commercial application.

Advantages
Applying state-of-the-art gas chromatographic instrumentation allows for quantitative analysis of concentrations of substances in gas streams with an accuracy of 5%. Maximum testing time - 8 hours. Option of customized testing according to unstandardized test procedure agreed with the customer.
