Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship Development of the Novosibirsk Region and Media Representatives Visited SKTB Katalizator JSC
On August 4, 2022, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship Development of the Novosibirsk Region Andrey Goncharov and representatives of the local media visited SKTB Katalizator JSC.
During the visit media scrum was held and Andrey Goncharov and Vitaliy Khan, CEO of SKTB Katalizator JSC, spoke about cooperation in the field of innovative developments, the support provided by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Novosibirsk Region, the challenges faced by the company under sanctions, import substitution and company prospects.
“I would like to thank the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region and the Regional Ministry of Industry for their assistance in financing. This annual support is very important, we develop unique things having no parallel throughout Russia. For example, we are the first in Russia to obtain prototype samples of a reforming catalyst in a fluidized bed. In the future, we look forward to make SKTB Katalizator JSC a major global company, and this is impossible without updating the facilities and equipment. We are completing an extensive renovation of the administrative and laboratory building accompanied with the creation of laboratories with full technical re-equipment of the research and engineering infrastructure in accordance with global standards. We are developing a project for a complete reconstruction of the catalyst testing building to accommodate new equipment for testing a wide range of catalysts. The construction of state-of-art manufacturing & storage facility is planned to increase the capacity for small-scale production of top requiested manganese, copper, chromium catalysts and the production of environmental monolith catalysts, and complete reconstruction of the catalyst preparation building with updating the production lines for the full range of products is also proposed," says CEO Vitaly Khan.
In addition, within the framework of this visit, Sergey Lopatkin, Director of Science, and Evgeny Starokon, Deputy Director of Science, gave a tour around the company's new research laboratories equipped according to global standards under the project "Implementing CET Technological Initiative: Catalysts, Engineering, Technologies" to media representatives. The guests were acquainted with the laboratory equipment, learned about the stages of catalyst development, and also received answers to all their questions.
